(...) Round Duccio da Boninsegna exhibition, in Siena from October 2003 to March 2004, an action very close to theatre has occurred, or better very close to ancient performances that used to involve people of the city and professional devoted to the performance. This book documents an extraordinary presence among the community and the celebration of an artist who contributed to mould it over the centuries. This is the miracle of Siena showing Duccio showing Siena. And this is the reason that keeps binding together the faces I see in the streets with the faces I see in the paintings (...).
